Education has always been central to ICPA’s mission. The organisation has played a key role in establishing Islamic Religious Education (IRE) programs in NSW public schools since 1996, providing structured Islamic education to Muslim students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Through this, children attending public schools throughout Australia have had the opportunity to gain Islamic knowledge.
In addition, ICPA operates Saturday Arabic and Islamic schools at various public school locations. These programs focus on Arabic language learning, Qur’anic recitation, and foundational Islamic knowledge, using approved syllabi and trained educators.
ICPA has also supported the establishment of respected Islamic colleges in Sydney and Melbourne, contributing to a growing culture of learning, civic responsibility, and academic achievement within the Australian Muslim community.
All of our educators and Imams engage in ongoing learning and professional development to continually strengthen their knowledge and skills. Through regular training and study, they remain well-equipped to provide informed, relevant, and impactful guidance to the community.
We are dedicated to providing all Muslim students across New South Wales with weekly access to Islamic education. We aim to inspire and empower our youth to develop a strong sense of social belonging in order for them to contribute positively to their own development, their society’s development, and the development of good communities around the world.
