Activities and Festivals

The association has a long and proud history of organising community events and festivals that bring people together and celebrate both national and Islamic occasions. These events play an important role in strengthening community connections, promoting cultural understanding, and fostering a sense of belonging.

What We Do

We regularly organise a variety of large-scale and community-based events, including:

Our Impact

The association has been a pioneering organisation in hosting such events, not only within the local community but also across Australia, and on occasion internationally.

Our events have been held at prominent venues—including large-scale celebrations at Olympic Hall in Homebush—demonstrating our capacity to deliver well-organised, inclusive, and impactful gatherings.

Through these activities, we aim to strengthen community unity, celebrate shared values, and create positive experiences for people of all backgrounds.

Sydney Eid Festival

ICPA supports and participates in Eid celebrations and festivals that bring together families and communities in welcoming and positive environments. These events encourage family connection, cultural understanding, community celebration, social cohesion, and positive engagement across the broader community.

Mawlid Events

ICPA also supports educational and community Mawlid gatherings that celebrate the birth and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Programs often include educational lectures, family-friendly activities, community gatherings, Nasheed performances, and cultural programs that encourage reflection, unity, education, and positive community participation.
